About me

I build academic credibility and research reputation through strategic communications, writing and editing to make the complex simple and accessible.

I am a skilled and emotionally intelligent relationship manager who gets best from leading thinkers and specialises in translating complex research, data and insights to meet their strategic communication goals. I work with my clients on everything from books, thought leadership and award entries, to internal communications, impact case studies and grant funding applications. 


Before setting out as an independent consultant, I spent more than four years as University of Edinburgh Business School's first PR & Communications Manager. In this role, I brought a renewed focus to the School's research reputation, implemented a modern, reader-centred approach to external communications and oversaw a successful communications-led internal culture change and engagement programme.


I began my career working with two of the UK's leading independent PR & Communications agencies, where I partnered with clients on reputation management, strategic public relations and stakeholder engagement.
